Sporting to continue winning run against Belenenses
On Thursday evening, Sporting CP host Belenenses at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, as the home side looks to keep pace with the teams above them.
Sporting are currently third place in the table, a point behind second place rivals Benfica and five behind league leaders Porto.

Belenenses are unbeaten in eight matches in the Primeira Liga, having recorded four and drawn four of their last eight league outings. The visitor’s recent league form has seen them rise to sixth place in the table.
Last time out the Belenenses recorded a 5-2 win over Desportivo Aves. The game was the third game out of four in the league that has produced over 2.5 goals. A big factor in those recent high scoring games is that the visitors have scored at least two goals in three of their last four league outings.
Belenenses are unbeaten in seven away games in the Primeira Liga, although five of those games have finished in draws. Their recent away matches in the Portuguese top-flight have also been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last ten away matches.
