Boxing Day is a great time for football fans in England and there are some top Premier League games to enjoy throughout the day.  One of the 3pm kick-offs sees Tottenham Hotspur welcome Bournemouth to Wembley.

Tottenham will be aiming to keep pace with the two teams above them and hope they drop points.  If other results go their way, Tottenham could move above Manchester City in the table and within 3 points of Liverpool.

Bournemouth find themselves in 8th place in the Premier League, 1 point behind Watford and 3 points behind Manchester United.  A win could move them up to 6th place but a more realistic goal is 7th.

Spurs fans will be looking forward to seeing their team in action on Boxing Day following their superb win at Everton on Sunday.  Tottenham came from 1-0 down to defeat Everton 6-2 in what was a sumptuous attacking display.  Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min all got on the scoresheet.

That result means Tottenham are undefeated in their last six games in all competitions and trends show they lost just one of their eight Premier League matches, winning seven.  Tottenham won their last five home matches in all competitions and have managed to score in all but one of their last twenty-four Premier League home games.

However, they have kept just two clean sheets in their previous eight home league games and will want to improve at the back.

Bournemouth make the trip to London having secured a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend.  Two goals by David Brooks was enough to secure the win for the Cherries and it was much needed following three straight defeats.

Two of those defeats came in the Premier League at the hands of Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers while Bournemouth also lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the League Cup.

Trends show Bournemouth have been struggling of late and they have lost seven of their last night games in all competitions.  That includes four straight defeats away from home and Eddie Howe will want to see more from his team in away matches if they are to sustain at top half position this season.

Bournemouth have conceded 2 or more goals in each of their last three away Premier League matches.

Team news and Tottenham are still without the injured Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier which means Mauricio Pochettino is likely to start with an attacking line-up.  Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela could come into the team with Dele Alli dropping out having picked up a knock at Everton.

Bournemouth travel without the injured trio of Lewis Cook, Dan Gosling and Adam Smith.  With little room for manoeuvre, Howe is expected to name both Calum Wilson and Joshua King up-front in a 4-4-4-2 formation.

Tottenham will be brimming with confidence following their big win at Everton and even if a little tiredness does begin to creep in and they concede a goal, Spurs have more than enough to win this match.
