On Saturday evening, Barcelona host Celta Vigo at the Nou Camp, as the reigning La Liga champions look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Barcelona have now recorded three straight wins in the Spanish top-flight after a 5-0 mauling of Levante last time out, with Lionel Messi at the heart of the victory.

The champions win in the capital means they are three points clear of second place Sevilla in the table. Ernesto Valverde’s team have been prolific of late in the Spanish top-flight, scoring at least two goals in seven of their last eight league outings.

One aspect of the home side’s game that has improved of late is their defensive solidity, as they have kept clean sheets in their last three league matches.

Barcelona have been highly difficult to beat on home soil in La Liga of late, losing once in 44 matches, while winning three of their last four home matches. The Catalan giants have also been prolific in recent home games in La Liga, scoring at least twice in their last four matches.

Celta Vigo are ninth place in the La Liga after an inconsistent season so far in the top-flight. The visitor's form has improved of late, as they are now three games unbeaten in La Liga, last time out drawing 0-0 at home against Leganes.

The visitor’s recent outings in the Spanish top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven league outings.

Celta’s recent away form in La Liga has been poor, as the visitors have won just two of their last 15 away games. Both teams have scored in their last seven away matches in La Liga.

Forebet predicts that Barcelona will record a high scoring victory to stay ahead of the chasing pack at the top of La Liga.
