On Sunday afternoon, Sevilla host Real Valladolid in La Liga, as the home side look to keep pace at the top of the table.

Sevilla have enjoyed a good start to their league campaign and are currently second place in the table, a point behind league leaders Barcelona. However, the Andalucian’s could capitalise on the fact that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona clash on Saturday night.

Pablo Machin’s side has won six of their last eight La Liga matches. Last time out, the Andalucian team recorded a 2-1 victory over Espanyol. Their recent games in the Spanish top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last eight matches.

Sevilla have won their last four home games in La Liga, scoring at least twice in all four victories. The home sides attacking prowess has led to over 2.5 goals being scored in their last five home league games.

Real Valladolid have made a mixed start to their La Liga campaign, but are currently seventh place in the Spanish top-flight. In fact, the visitors are just three points outside the European spots.

Valladolid’s league form has dipped of late, as they have failed to win in their last three La Liga games. On the other hand, the visitors have lost just one of their last eight league games, so have been hard to beat.

The visitor’s recent league outings have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last six matches in La Liga.

Valladolid have a decent recent record on their travels of late in La Liga, as a 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid in their previous away game ended a five-game unbeaten run on their travels in La Liga.

Forebet predicts that Sevilla will record a victory in a high scoring game to keep themselves in contention for top spot in La Liga this season.
