The final match of this weekend round of fixtures in Serie Ais a belter.  Lazio welcome Inter Milan to the Stadio Olimpico in a game which stirs memories of their dramatic clash towards the end of last season which sealed Inter a place in the Champions League.

Lazio will be hoping to get their revenge by winning this match and in doing so would move 2 points above Inter Milan in the table.  A win for the away team would move them 4 points clear of Lazio and keep them within touching distance of Juventus.

Lazio come into this game having defeated Marseille 3-1 away from home in the Europa League, which was a good result. This win plus the victories over Fiorentina and Parma in Serie A mean Lazio have responded well since the 3-1 loss to Roma in the derby and heavy 4-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.

Trends show Lazio have won six of their last seven Serie A games and they have won each of the last three at home.  With the addition of the 2-1 win over Apollon in the Europa League, Lazio have won each of their last four home matches, scoring 8 goals and conceding only 2 in the process.

However, Lazio failed their biggest test to date at home this season when they went down 2-1 at the hands of Napoli and cannot afford a similar result in this game against one of their closest rivals.

Inter Milan were always going to be up against it as they travelled to Spain to take on Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night. They came away with a 2-0 defeat but are still in a good position to qualify from the group.

Inter Milan will not feel too downhearted as they return to action in Serie A having completed a 1-0 win over rivals AC Milan last weekend.  A late goal from Mauro Icardi sealed the win for the Nerazzurri and they are hot on the heals of second placed Napoli.

Trends show Inter Milan are in good form domestically and they have won each of their last five league games.  Inter Milan have won their last three away Serie A matches and also picked up a win in Eindhoven against PSV in the Champions League which means they have won four of their last five on the road.

Looking ahead to the team news and Lazio could be without two defensive midfield options as Lucas Leiva and Milan Badelj aim to recover from injury.  Joaquin Correa is expected to get the nod to support Ciro Immobile in attack.

Inter Milan could be without a central midfield player of their own as Radja Nainggolan attempts to shake off an injury picked up in the Milan derby last weekend.  The Belgian is the only doubt for Inter Milan ahead of this game.

Both teams are in good form in Serie A coming into this match and we should be in for a very tense game.  Inter Milan have had the better of things recently between the two teams and could leave Rome with their third away win in a row over Lazio.
