European champions Real Madrid visit CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night in Group G of the Champions League.
CSKA Moscow kicked off their Champions league campaign with a 2-2 draw against Viktoria Plzen. The Russian side has a mixed recent record in Europe’s elite competition, picking up two wins, a draw and suffering three defeats in their last six games in the Champions League.
CSKA’s latest games in Europe’s elite competition have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven games. The Russian side has contributed to those high scoring games by scoring at least two goals in three of their last four Champions League outings.
The home side has a mixed recent record on home soil in this competition. However, a record of just three wins in their last ten games in the Champions League is not a great one.
Real Madrid have enjoyed a mixed start to life under new boss Julen Lopetegui. However, Los Blancos started the defence of their Champions league title by recording a 3-0 home win over Roma in their opening game.
The victory means that Los Blancos have now won eight of their last ten games in the Champions league. The team from the Spanish capital have also been prolific in that ten game run, scoring at least two goals in nine of the games.
The visitors have won nine of their last 11 away games in the Champions League, suffering just two defeats in the process. In fact, the Spanish giants have lost just two of their last 14 games on their travels.
Los Blancos have also been prolific on the road in the Champions league of late, scoring at least twice in 11 of their last 13 games on their travels.
Forebet predicts that Real Madrid’s good away form will continue in this clash, with the visitors recording a victory in a high scoring clash.
