Leeds to strengthen position in the promotion spots

On Tuesday night, Hull City host Leeds United at the KCOM Stadium, as the visitors look to strengthen their position in the automatic promotion spots.

Hull have made a poor start to their Championship campaign and head into this Yorkshire derby 21st in the table. The Tigers have won just two of their ten league games so far this season.

Nigel Adkins’ side has lost four of their last six games in the second tier. Last time out the team from Humberside drew 1-1 with promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough.

Hull’s recent home form in the Championship has been poor, as the Tigers have won just one of their last seven home games in the second tier, suffering five defeats in the process. The Tigers have taken four points from their last two home games in the league.

Leeds are currently second place in the early Championship table after enjoying a strong start to their campaign in the second tier. However, the Whites have now won just one of their last six games in the Championship. Last time out Leeds drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday in another derby.

Their recent games in the second tier have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six matches.

Leeds are unbeaten on their travels in five Championship games. However, the Whites have drawn their last two away games and have in fact won just two of their last 16 games on their travels.

While the visitor’s recent games in the Championship have not been ultra-high scoring, both teams have scored in five of their last six away games in the second tier.

Forebet predicts that Leeds will record a victory in a low-scoring game to enhance their position in the race for promotion to the Premier League.
