On Wednesday night, Napoli host Parma at the San Paolo in Serie A, as the visitors look to keep the pressure on champions Juventus at the top of the table.

Napoli are currently second in Serie A, three points behind champions Juventus after another decent start to their league campaign. The home side has a strong recent record in the Italian top-flight, having won six of their last seven league matches.

Last time out in Serie A, Carlo Ancelotti’s team recorded a 3-1 win at Torino. The game was another high scoring one for the home side, as five of their last six league games have produced over 2.5 goals.

The Azzurri have been formidable on home soil of late in Serie A, winning 11 of their last 13 league games, while suffering just one defeat in the process. Napoli have been prolific on home soil in the league of late, scoring at least twice in five of their last six games.

Parma have made a mixed return to Serie A. However, after a rocky start to life back in the top-flight, the visitors are now unbeaten in three league games, having won their last two Serie A matches.

Their recent games in the Italian top-flight have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four league games.

Parma’s poor away record was a big factor in their relegation in their previous stint in the Italian top-flight. In fact, the visitors have won just one of their last 19 away games.

However, that solitary win came in their last away game in Serie A at Inter. The win ended an 18-game winless run on their travels.

Parma’s latest away games in the Italian top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals in five of their last seven matches.

Forebet predicts that Napoli will record a victory in a low scoring encounter to stay on the shoulders of Juventus in the title race.
