Monaco set to kick-start season with a win over Angers

Monaco have made a poor start to their campaign in Ligue One. However, the team from the principality have the chance to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night as they welcome Angers to the Stade Louis ll.

Monaco have picked up just six points from their first six games in Ligue One, winning just one of their league outings so far this season. Last time out Leonardo Jardim’s team were left frustrated by a 1-1 draw against Nimes. It was the home side’s fifth consecutive league game without a victory.

Although Monaco’s recent Ligue One outings have not been that high scoring, both league teams have scored in five of their last six matches.

Monaco’s usually stellar league form on home soil has been inconsistent of late, as Jardim’s team have won just one of their last five games. However, they remain hard to beat, as they have suffered just one home defeat in 15 matches.

Angers have made a mixed start to their Ligue One campaign, picking up just a point more than the home side in the French top-flight.

The visitor’s recent form has improved though, as they are unbeaten in three league games, having recorded two wins in the process. Last time out in the top-flight, Angers drew 0-0 with Toulouse.

Angers away form in Ligue One has been poor of late, as the visitors have recorded just two away wins in Ligue One, suffering five defeats in the process. In fact, they have won just three of their last 17 Ligue One games on their travels.

The visitor’s recent away games in the French top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five outings.

Forebet predicts that Monaco will get back to winning ways in the French top-flight by recording a victory in a high scoring encounter.
