Swans to continue stellar start to Championship campaign

On Friday night, Birmingham host Swansea at St Andrews in the Championship, as the visitors look to make it three wins out of three in the second tier this season.

The home side has yet to win in their two Championship games this season, drawing with Norwich in their opening game before suffering a 1-0 defeat against Middlesbrough last time out in the second tier.

The Blues poor opening to the campaign means that they have now won just two of their last eight games in the Championship. Their most recent outings in the league have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five outings in the Championship.

Despite a poor end to last season in the second tier, City are now six games unbeaten on home soil in the Championship, having recorded three wins and three draws. Their recent games at St Andrews have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six home games in the second tier.

Swansea have made a bright start to life under new boss Graham Potter, winning their opening two games in the second tier following relegation from the Premier League.

Although the Welsh side has been absent from the Championship for seven years prior to this season, they have an impressive record in the second tier winning seven of their last eight games. The visitors have also scored at least twice in six of their last eight Championship games.

The Swans have been poor on their travels of late though, winning just two of their last 20 in all competitions. The visitor’s recent away games have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last 12 games on their travels in all competitions.

Forebet predicts that Swansea will continue their positive start to their Championship by recording a victory in a high scoring clash.
