New York Red Bulls set to add for DC’s problems

In the early hours of Thursday (GMT), DC United host New York Red Bulls in the MLS, as the visitors look to keep in touch with the top-two of Eastern Conference.
DC United are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference, five points behind 10th place Toronto having played at least four games fewer than the teams above them in the standings.
Ben Olsen’s team have won just one of their last seven games in the US top-flight, and last time out United suffered a 3-1 defeat at Atlanta United.
The home side’s recent MLS games have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last ten league outings. United’s last ten MLS games have seen both teams scoring. The team from the US capital have scored in their last 11 league games.
Olsen’s team have a decent recent home record in MLS, winning three of their last five league outings, suffering just one defeat in the process.
The Red Bulls are currently third-place in the Eastern Conference standings, six points behind league leaders Atlanta.
The visitors have hit form of late, winning five of their last six games in MLS, while scoring at least twice in four of their previous six league games. Despite their good performances in front of goal of late, three of their last four MLS games have produced under 2.5 goals.
New York’s recent away form has been mixed, as they have recorded wins in just one of their last four outings. The visitor’s previous three games on the road in MLS have produced under 2.5 goals.
One negative for the visitors is that they have won just once in their last six games in DC.
Forebet predicts that the visitors will continue their recent good form by recording a victory in a high scoring encounter.
