AIK set to move to the top of the Swedish top-flight

On Wednesday night, Hacken host AIK in the Swedish Allsvenskan, as the visitors look to move to the top of the table.

Hacken have enjoyed a mixed run of form in the Swedish top-flight of late. However, the home side currently sit sixth-place in the table. Andreas Alm’s team could move up to as high as fourth-place in the table with a win in this clash.

Last time out the Gothenburg-based outfit suffered a 2-0 defeat against Malmo. The game ended a run of high-scoring matches for Alm’s team in the Allsvenskan, as their previous four league outings had produced over 2.5 goals.

The home side has a very strong recent home record in the Swedish top-flight, winning five of their last six league games on home soil, while also scoring two or more goals in all five of the victories.

AIK are currently second in the Swedish top-flight, three points behind top of the table Hammarby. The team from Solna are now 22 league games unbeaten, although the visitors have drawn two of their last three Allsvenskan games.

AIK’s recent games in the Swedish top-flight have been low scoring, as nine of their last ten league outings have produced under 2.5 goals. Last time out Rikard Norling’s side won 1-0 at top of the table rivals Hammarby.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last 11 games on their travels in the Allsvenskan. However, six of those recent unbeaten games have finished all square, including three of their last five outings on their travels.

AIK’s recent away games in the league have been low scoring, as six of their last seven away games have produced under 2.5 goals.

Forebet predicts that the visitors will record a victory in a high scoring game to move above Hammarby at the top of the league on goal difference.
