On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal host Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, as the sixth-place home side hold off the challenge of seventh-place Burnley in the fight for top six spots. Arsenal are just three points clear of the Clarets.

Arsenal have been a Jekyll and Hyde team in the Premier League this season. On their travels, the Gunners have been truly woeful, but on home soil, Arsene Wenger’s side have been formidable.

The north London side has won six of their last seven Premier League games on home soil. The Gunners have also scored at least two goals in eight of their last nine league games at the Emirates Stadium.

Last time out in the Premier League, the Gunners suffered a last-gasp 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The result means Arsenal’s last nine Premier League games have produced over nine goals, so the Gunners are usually good value for goals in the league.

Burnley have already sealed their highest ever finish in the Premier League era, sealing a place in the Europa League for next season in the process.

Despite their lofty position in the top-flight table, the Clarets have failed to win in their last three games in the Premier League, drawing their last two games after suffering a defeat against Chelsea.

Burnley’s recent league games have been uncharacteristically high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven league outings.

Sean Dyche’s side are unbeaten in four away games in the Premier League, recording three wins and a draw. The Clarets have also scored at least two goals in three of their last four league games on their travels in the Premier League.

Neither side has much to play for in this clash. However, the Gunners are strong on home soil and this will be Arsene Wenger’s last ever home game in the Premier League. Forebet predicts that the Gunners will give Wenger a good home send-off with a victory in a high scoring win.
