Dortmund will be looking to secure their place in the top-four of the Bundesliga when BVB visit Werder Bremen on Sunday evening.

Werder Bremen have endured an inconsistent Bundesliga campaign. The home side currently sit 12th place in the table after a poor run of form that has seen Florian Kohfeldt’s side lose two and draw one of their last three outings in the German top-flight.

Although their last two Bundesliga games were low scoring, their previous five games had produced over 2.5 goals, so their games are unpredictable when it comes to goals.

Werder are strong on home soil, as the home side are unbeaten in ten Bundesliga games on home soil, recording wins in four of their last five home games in the league. Both teams have also scored in four of their last five home games in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund are currently five points clear of fifth place Hoffenheim, with just three league games remaining. A win in this clash could be enough to confirm a top-four finish, depending on results elsewhere.

Peter Stoger’s side has won four of their last six league games in the German top-flight, including recording a 4-0 home win over top-four rivals Bayer Leverkusen last time out.

Dortmund have failed to win in their last three away games in the Bundesliga while losing at Bayern Munich and Schalke in their last two outings on their travels in the German top-flight.

BVB’s recent away games in the Bundesliga have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight games on their travels.

The visitors have won five of the last six meetings with Werder but suffered a 2-1 defeat last time these two teams met.

Forebet predicts that Dortmund will continue their good record against Werder by recording a victory in a high scoring clash.
