On Sunday night, Deportivo La Coruna host title-chasing Barcelona in La Liga at the Riazor.

Deportivo are currently nine points away from safety with just four league games remaining. Clarence Seedorf’s side seems set for life in the Spanish second tier after a difficult season.

The arrival of the Dutchman as head coach has helped the team’s form, though, as Depor have only lost one of their last six outings in the Spanish top-flight. A 0-0 draw at Leganes last time out means the home side are now undefeated in four games in La Liga, having drawn twice and won twice.

One of the factors that have contributed to Depor’s current lowly position in the table is that they have the second worst defensive record in the Spanish table, as only second from bottom Las Palmas have conceded more than Deportivo’s tally of 65 goals.

Another big factor has been Depor’s poor home form in La Liga, as they have won just once in their last nine games on home soil. However, the home side are now unbeaten on home soil in five outings, following four draws and a victory.

Barcelona could win La Liga with a victory in this clash. However, that would depend on whether Atletico Madrid slips up earlier in the day at Alaves.

Ernesto Valverde’s side looks to be coasting to the title and are unbeaten in La Liga. In fact, the Blaugrana are unbeaten in 50 La Liga games dating back to last season.

The Catalan giants have not been all dominating away from home, though, as they have drawn four of their last six games on their travels in La Liga. However, the visitors have scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten away games in La Liga.

Forebet predicts that Barcelona will record a victory in a high scoring game that could prove massive at both ends of the table.
