Liverpool to record a comfortable win at West Brom

On Saturday lunchtime, rock bottom West Bromwich host Liverpool at the Hawthorns in the Premier League, as the home side plot an unlikely great escape from the drop zone.

The Baggies are bottom of the table and nine points from safety. However, a shock 1-0 win at Manchester United last time out at least gave the Midlands side a slim hope of surviving the drop.

The victory over the Red Devils is only the Baggies second in their last 31 top-flight outings. The win also ended a ten-game winless run in the Premier League consisting of eight defeats and two draws.

The Hawthorns was once a fortress for the home side. However, the Baggies have now won just one of their last 16 home games in the top-flight. They have also suffered defeats in four of their last five league outings at the Hawthorns.

Liverpool will be looking to extend their lead over fourth-place Tottenham in the race to secure a place in next season’s Champions League group stages.

The Reds are currently three points clear of the side from north London in the table and four points behind second-place Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has a strong recent record in the Premier League, having won six of their last eight top-flight outings. The visitors have been prolific of late in the top-flight, scoring at least two goals in eight of their last ten Premier League outings.

The Merseysiders recent away record is a slightly inconsistent one, as the Reds have won three, lost two and drawn one of their last six games on their travels in the league.

The visitor’s recent away games have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five away outings in the top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Liverpool will record a victory, which would all but seal the Baggies place in the Championship for next season.
