On Sunday afternoon, Manchester United host West Brom at Old Trafford, in a game that could see the visitors relegated to the Championship.

Although the home side are still not mathematically out of the race for the Premier League title, the Red Devils will know that they are unlikely to catch arch-rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

The Red Devils main aim this season is now to finish as runners-up in the top-flight this season. Jose Mourinho’s side has won their last five league games, scoring at least two goals in all five wins. Last time out the home side recorded a 3-2 away win at City to delay the Citizens sealing the title.

United have a formidable recent home record in the Premier League, unbeaten in eight games, having won their last five league games on home soil. Mourinho’s side has built their recent good home record in the league on strong defensive displays, as the home side has kept clean sheets in four of their last six games on home soil.

West Brom are rock bottom of the Premier League table and could suffer relegation with a defeat in this clash if this weekend’s results go against the Baggies.

The side from the Midlands are ten points away from safety, having won just three league games this season. A 1-1 draw last time out against Swansea at least ended an eight-game losing run in the top-flight.

One of the Baggies biggest problems this season has been conceding too many goals. In fact, the visitors have conceded at least two goals in seven of their last nine outings in the Premier League.

Forebet predicts that the home side will record a victory in a high scoring encounter, which will leave the visitors one step closer to suffering relegation.
