Magpies set to get the better of the Terriers

Two teams looking to move away from the Premier League drop zone meet on Saturday afternoon at St James Park, as Newcastle host Huddersfield.

Newcastle are currently 13th place in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone. The Magpies recent form in the English top-flight has been inconsistent.

However, they have been hard to beat with just one defeat in their last six league outings. Rafa Benitez’s side also recorded a 3-0 win over Southampton last time out in the Premier League, so will be in good spirits heading into this game.

The Magpies recent Premier League games have been tight affairs, with under 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last 11 outings in the top-flight.

The north east side head into this game on the back of a five-game unbeaten run on home soil in the league. Benitez side has also recorded back-to-back home league wins.

Huddersfield are just a point behind Newcastle in the table in 15th place. However, the home side has played a game fewer than the Yorkshire outfit.

The Terriers could end gameweek 32 in the relegation zone if results go against them this weekend. The visitor’s league form has taken a turn for the worst of late, as they have now lost two of their last three league games.

A 2-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace last time out means that David Wagner’s side has now also failed to score in their last three games in the Premier League.

The visitors have won just two of their last 13 away games in the English top-flight. A recent record of four defeats from their last five away games does not bode well for an away victory in this clash, either.

A victory for either side in this clash could prove massive. Forebet predicts that it will be Newcastle breathing a bit easier on Saturday evening after a victory in a high scoring clash.
