Clarets to add to the Baggies woes
On Saturday afternoon, the Premier League’s basement club West Brom host high-flying Burnley at the Hawthorns.
West Brom has endured a nightmare campaign and look certainties to suffer relegation this season. Alan Pardew’s side are now ten points away from safety, having played an extra game than 17th place West Ham.
A 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth in their last Premier League was their seventh straight defeat in the English top-flight. The Baggies have in fact won just one of their last 29 games in the Premier League.
The side from the Midlands has at least given the fans value for money when it has come to goals in the league, as six of their last seven league games have produced over 2.5 goals.
The Baggies have been strong at the Hawthorns in recent seasons. However, even that strong form has suffered in their torrid campaign, as Pardew’s side have won just one of their 13 games on home soil in the league. They have also lost their last three home games in the top-flight.
Burnley are enjoying a very solid campaign and currently sit in seventh position in the table, a spot that could be enough to earn European football for next season.
Sean Dyche’s team have hit a bit of an inconsistent run of late in the Premier League. However, it seems the Clarets may be back on track after back-to-back league wins against Everton and last time out West Ham.
The 3-0 win at West Ham last time out ended a seven-game winless run on their travels in the Premier League for the visitors. The game also ended a run of low-scoring away games, as their previous four games had all produced under 2.5 goals.
Forebet predicts that Burnley will add to the Baggies woes by recording a victory in the Midlands in a high scoring encounter.
