Terriers set to get the better of the Swans

On Saturday afternoon, two teams looking to get away from the Premier League relegation dogfight meet at the John Smith’s Stadium, as Huddersfield host Swansea.

The home side are currently 15th place in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the relegation zone. However, they are only behind the 13th place visitors due to an inferior goal difference.

David Wagner’s team have experienced mixed fortunes of late, as a 2-0 defeat at Tottenham last time out, ended a winning run of two games for the Terriers in the English top-flight.

The Terriers position in the table is largely due to poor defensive displays of late, as Town have conceded two or more goals in six of their last eight top-flight games.

The side from Yorkshire have an inconsistent recent home record, winning just one of their last six games on home soil in the league. However, that win came in the Terriers last home game against Bournemouth.

Swansea are 13th place in the table and enjoying a good run of form under affable Portuguese boss Carlos Carvalhal. The Swans have suffered just one defeat in their last seven Premier League outings and last time out recorded a 4-1 win over West Ham.

Both teams have scored in four of Swansea’s last five Premier League games, with over 4.5 goals scored in their last two league games.

The Welsh side have a poor recent record on the road in the Premier League, winning just one of their last 12 games on their travels in the English top-flight. Five of Swansea’s last seven away games in the league have produced over 2.5 goals.

The fact that the Swans have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 away games in the league has contributed to those high scoring games.

This game is a big one at the bottom of the table. Forebet predicts that Huddersfield will record a victory in a high scoring encounter.
