On Friday night, Roma host Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A, as the home side look to enhance their chances of Champions League qualification for next season.

Roma are in good form and currently sit third-place in the Italian top-flight table. A run of four wins in their last five games in Serie A have strengthened the Giallorossi’s hopes of a top-four finish. Despite their recent good form, Eusebio Di Francesco’s side are still just two points clear of fifth-place Inter in the top-four race.

Last time out in Serie A Serie A the team from the Italian capital recorded a superb 4-2 win at league leaders Napoli. The game was out of step with Roma’s recent league games, which have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals in six of their last eight league outings.

Rather surprisingly, Roma have a poor recent home record, as they have won just one of their last five league games at the Stadio Olimpico while suffering three home defeats in their last four outings.

Torino are currently enjoying a steady if unspectacular Serie A campaign and sit ninth-place in the Italian top-flight table. The men from Turin head into this game on the back of consecutive league defeats against arch-rivals Juventus and last time out Verona.

The Granata have a poor recent away record in Serie A, having won just one of their last ten outings in the Italian top-flight. They have also failed to win in their last four games on the road in Serie A Serie A, picking three draws and suffering one defeat.

Both teams have scored in the visitors last five away games in the Italian top-flight. It is easy to see that run continuing in this clash.

Roma are in good form, while Torino have been inconsistent of late. Forebet predicts that the home side will record a victory in a high scoring game.
