Antonio Conte’s Chelsea have experienced a rough couple of weeks, suffering defeat in three of their last four outings in all competitions, including their last two league games against Bournemouth and Watford.

A Monday night home game against bottom of the table West Brom seems to be the perfect opportunity for the team from the capital to return to winning ways.

Conte’s team have at least offered value for money to fans when it has come to goals of late, as there has been over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six Premier League outings.

A 4-1 defeat against Watford last time out was a disappointing result. However, after the dismissal of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on the half-hour mark, it was always going to be an uphill struggle for the Blues to win the game.

The Blues have now failed to win in their last two home games in the league, having previously recorded seven straight league wins on home soil at Stamford Bridge.

West Brom are bottom of the table, five points away from safety. A 3-2 home defeat against Southampton last time out means that the Baggies have won just once in their last 24 Premier League outings.

The visitors have struggled to score goals in the top-flight this season, with only Swansea and Huddersfield having scored fewer goals than the Baggies tally of 21 goals.

The recent history of this fixture suggests that Alan Pardew’s side are not going to improve their poor record in this clash, as the Baggies have lost four of the last five meetings with Chelsea in all competitions.

The team from the Midlands have failed to win in their last 12 games on the road in the Premier League, suffering eight defeats in the process.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will record a victory in a low scoring game to get back on track in the Premier League.
