Reigning Spanish champions Real Madrid host Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu in La Liga on Saturday afternoon, as the home side look to move up the Spanish top-flight table.

Zinedine Zidane’s team have been highly inconsistent of late in the Spanish top-flight. In fact, Los Blancos mixed form this season has seen the men from the capital slip to fourth-place in the table, a massive 19 points behind league leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona.

A 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Levante last time out in La Liga summed up the home sides recent form in the Spanish top-flight.

Even Los Blancos usually formidable league form at the Bernabeu has dipped in recent games, as they have lost two of their last three home games in the Spanish top-flight.

Zidane’s team have at least given the fans value for money when it comes to goals scored at the Bernabeu, as six of their seven home games in the league have produced over 2.5 goals.

Real Sociedad are enduring a poor La Liga campaign and are currently 14th place in the Spanish top-flight table.

La Real have won just two of their last 11 games in the Spanish top-flight. In fact, a 5-0 hammering of Deportivo last time out at the Anoeta ended a four-game losing run for the team from San Sebastian.

The visitor’s recent La Liga games have at least produced high scoring encounters, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six games in La Liga, including their last four games.

Eusebio Sacristan’s team have been poor on their travels of late, failing to win in their last six games on the road in the Spanish top-flight.

The visitors have also lost their last six games against Real Madrid in all competitions, so travel to the capital in more hope than expectation.

Forebet predicts that Real Madrid will make it seven straight win overs La Real in a high scoring encounter.
