Bayer Leverkusen to enhance Champions League chances

On Sunday afternoon, Bayer Leverkusen host Mainz in the Bundesliga, as the home side look to enhance their chances of finishing in the Champions League spots.

Bayer Leverkusen are currently right in the mix for a Champions League spot this season, third in the table and two points off second place Eintracht Frankfurt, who recorded a win over Monchengladbach on Friday night.

However, that one win came in their last outing, a 3-2 home win over Stuttgart. The win ended a run of six games without a league victory. Mainz’s recent games have at least offered good entertainment value, with over 2.5 goals scored in six of their last seven Bundesliga outings.

The visitors have a woeful record in the Bundesliga, failing to win in their last 15 games on their travels in the German top-flight. The visitors conceding goals has been a big contributing factor to their recent poor run of form, as they have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six away games in the Bundesliga.

Bayer head into this clash very much the form team and Forebet predicts that this game will go with the form book, with the home side recording a comfortable victory.
