Belenenses and Boavista hard to separate

Belenenses hosts Boavista on Tuesday night at the Estadio do Restelo in the Primeira Liga, as the two teams do battle for midtable supremacy.

Belenenses have experienced a mixed campaign so far in the Primeira Liga. The Lisbon-based side are 11th in the Portuguese top-flight table. However, a victory would move them above the visitors in the table.

Current form does not suggest that the home side will record a win, though, as they have failed to win in their last six Primeira Liga games. Last time out in the league, Domingos Paciencia’s side drew 0-0 away at Portimonense.

Belenenses have been in decent form at home in recent months, as they have suffered just one league defeat on home soil in their last eight outings. However, they have failed to win in their last two home games.

Their recent home games have been low scoring in the league, as six of their last eight games on home soil have produced under 2.5 goals.

Boavista heads into this clash just above the visitors in the Primeira Liga table, having experienced a rather mixed campaign themselves.

One win in their last four Primeira Liga outings has rather stalled any hopes of the team from Porto challenging for the European spots this season.

Last time out the visitors suffered a 3-1 home defeat against high-flying Sporting Braga. The game was another high scoring affair involving Boavista, as six of their last eight outings have produced over 2.5 goals.

Just like their general recent form, the visitor’s recent away form has been inconsistent of late. Jorge Simao’s side have suffered just one defeat in their last five league games on the road but won just two of their eight last away games in the Portuguese top-flight.

With neither side are in great form and both occupying similar positions in the table, it is no surprise that Forebet predicts that this clash will end all square.
