Manchester City to continue winning run at Crystal Palace

On Sunday afternoon, relegation-threatened Crystal Palace host runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace’s recent good form was ended by a 3-2 home defeat by Arsenal last time out at Selhurst Park. The defeat meant the end of an eight-game unbeaten run for the Eagles in the top-flight.

The defeat also saw the Eagles recent six-game undefeated home record end. The defeat saw Roy Hodgson’s side score two goals for the seventh consecutive league game on home soil though.

The Eagles eye for goal at Selhurst Park has contributed to their being over 2.5 goals scored in their last seven league games on home soil. Both teams have also scored in those seven games. With goal-happy City the visitors this weekend that record looks set to continue.

Manchester City are striding away from the chasing pack at the top of the Premier League table. The Citizens are 15 points clear at the top of the table after a 1-0 win at Newcastle last time out.

In reality, the scoreline did not reflect the Citizens dominance in the game, as the leaders hit the woodwork three times.

The win in the north east means that City have now won their last 18 Premier League games and continue to break records along the way.

One of the keys to the Citizens recent winning run has been their form on their travels, as Pep Guardiola’s side have now won 11 consecutive games on the road in the league. The visitors have also failed to score over two or more goals in just two of those 11 victories.

City have beat the Eagles in the last six meetings in all competitions, including winning the last two meetings 5-0. On their last visit to Selhurst Park, the Citizens recorded a 3-0 win.

Forebet predicts that the visitors will record a comfortable victory in a goal-filled encounter.
