Lions and Hoops set for draw
Two of the Championships most inconsistent teams clash on Friday night, as Millwall host QPR in a London derby.
Millwall are currently 16th in the second tier table after an inconsistent run of form in recent weeks and months. Neil Harris’ team have won just two of their last 11 Championship games.
However, last time out they drew 2-2 at home against league leaders Wolves, a highly respectable result considering the Midlander’s recent form. The Lions recent games in the Championship have been high scoring, with four of their last five league games producing over 2.5 goals.
The Lions have a mixed home record of late in the Championship, which has contributed to their position in the table. The home side have won three, drawn two and lost one of their last six games in the second tier.
Millwall have been relatively prolific in recent home games in the league, though, scoring two or more goals in four of their last six outings at the Den.
QPR are two places below the home side in the table. However, Ian Holloway’s side are only below the Lions due to an inferior goal difference.
Like their hosts, the Hoops have been inconsistent this season. The visitors are on an unbeaten run of three games in the second tier. A record of just one league win in their last nine outings is a concern, though.
The Hoops have a poor away record in the Championship, winning just one of their last 19 games on their travels. However, they have picked up four points from their last two away games, with a win at Birmingham and a draw at Ipswich in their last away game, so their away form is improving.
Neither of these teams seems able to put together a consistent run of form. Unsurprising Forebet predicts that this game will end in a draw.
