Ajax to record comfortable Christmas Eve victory

On Sunday afternoon, Ajax host Willem ll at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the Eredivisie, as the Dutch giants look to make up ground on league leaders PSV.
Ajax have had a traumatic week as a midweek exit from the Dutch Cup at Twente saw boss Marcel Keizer and assistant Dennis Bergkamp sacked. Former Barcelona full-back Michael Reiziger has taken temporary charge of the team.
The home side are currently second in the Dutch top-flight table, five points behind PSV Eindhoven. However, PSV can stretch their lead on Saturday, as they host Vitesse Arnhem.
Ajax have actually been in good form in the Eredivisie, winning five of their last six games, while also scoring two or more goals in their last six games in the Dutch top-flight.
The home side also have a decent home record in the Eredivisie, winning four of their last five games, while scoring at least three goals in each victory.
In fact, Ajax have scored two or more goals in 14 of their last 16 home games in the Dutch top-flight, which has contributed to 15 of their last 16 games on home soil producing over 2.5 goals.
Willem ll are just above the relegation zone in 14th place, just three points above the relegation play-off spots. One league win in their last eight outings has been a major factor in Erwin van de Looi’s side slipping down the table.
The visitor’s recent games in the Dutch top-flight have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last nine Eredivisie outings.
Willem ll’s recent away form is not great, as the visitors have won just twice in their last 14 away games in the Eredivisie.
Forebet predicts that Ajax will continue their recent good form in the Eredivisie and record a win that should at least keep them in touch with PSV at the top of the table.
