Barcelona have been almost impeccable in La Liga this season. The Blaugrana have won nine of their ten games in the Spanish top-flight, with a draw at Atletico Madrid their only blip.

On Saturday, Ernesto Valverde’s team host Sevilla at the Nou Camp. The visitors have a poor record at Barcelona, as they have failed to win on their last 12 visits in all competitions.

The home side have also kept clean sheets in Sevilla’s last three visits to the Nou Camp. In fact, in general, Sevilla have struggled against Barcelona of late.

The Catalan giants have scored two or more goals against Sevilla in 13 of the last 15 games in all competitions. This has contributed to the fact that there have been over 2.5 goals scored in 12 of the last 14 meetings between the two teams.

Barcelona’s current form does not suggest that Eduardo Berizzo and his side can improve that record this weekend. The home side have won their last 17 home games in La Liga while scoring at least twice in all of those victories.

The fact that the visitors have also lost their last three games on the road in La Liga also goes against a surprise win in Catalonia. Sevilla have failed to score in their last three away games, so will need a major improvement in this clash to pick up anything from their trip to the Catalan capital.

While prolific going forward, Barcelona have also been solid in defensive of late, as Valverde’s side have kept clean sheets in their last four games in all competitions, while they have also kept clean sheets in seven of their last nine competitive outings.

Forebet predicts that Barcelona will record a comfortable home victory over the men from Andalucia and add to their recent woes on the road.
