On Tuesday night, Monchengladbach host Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga, as both teams look to kick-start their campaigns in the German top-flight.

Monchengladbach have endured mixed fortunes in the Bundesliga so far this season. The home side have picked up one win, drawn twice and suffered one defeat. Last time out, they recorded a respectable 2-2 draw at RB Leipzig.

Dieter Hecking’s side have a poor recent home record in the Bundesliga, having recorded just one win in their last five outings. Their home games in the German top-flight have also been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last four home games in the league.

The home side do have a very good recent record against the visitors, though, as Gladbach have won the last four meetings with Stuttgart in all competitions. In fact, the home side are unbeaten against Stuttgart in the last seven competitive meetings.

Like the hosts, Stuttgart have enjoyed mixed fortunes in the Bundesliga so far this season. The visitors won promotion from the second tier last season and have won two and lost two of their games in the German top-flight.

Last time out in the Bundesliga, Hannes Wolf’s side recorded a 1-0 win over Wolfsburg. Understandably, their recent record is not great in the Bundesliga, as they suffered relegation in their last stint in the German top-flight.

In fact, Stuttgart have won just two of their last 13 games in the Bundesliga. The visitors will hope that record improves in the near future. Stuttgart’s away record in the German top-flight is also poor, as they have failed to win any of their last nine games on their travels while suffering defeats in their last five away games in the Bundesliga.

Neither of these two sides have looked in great form so far this season and Forebet predicts this game will finish all square.
