Malaga to end losing run against Las Palmas

On Monday night Malaga will attempt to end their losing run in La Liga when the Andalucian’s host Las Palmas at the Estadio La Rosaleda.

Malaga have lost both of their La Liga games 1-0 so far this season but will fancy their chances getting back to winning ways against another team who have made a poor start to their league campaign.

Overall, the home side have now lost their last three games in La Liga and failed to win in four outings in the Spanish top-flight. Their recent home form is also mixed, as they have won four and lost five of their previous nine home outings in La Liga, suffering successive defeats in the league against Real Madrid and Eibar.

Malaga’s recent home games in La Liga have been low scoring with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven outings. This clash could be a tight one, too.

Las Palmas continued from where they left off last season by losing their opening two games in La Liga. Last time out the visitors suffered a 5-1 home mauling against Atletico Madrid.

The defeat against the club from the capital means that the Islanders have now lost their last seven La Liga games, while also failing to win in their last nine games in the Spanish top-flight. The visitors have also scored two or more goals in six of their last nine outings in La Liga.

Las Palmas have a terrible away record in La Liga, as they have failed to win in their last 19 games on their travels in the Spanish top-flight. They have also lost their last eight away games in the league and failed to score in their last four.

Forebet predicts that Malaga will end their three-game losing streak in La Liga and record a victory over the hapless visitors.
