Gremio have been one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the Brazilian Serie A this season. The Porto Alegre side are currently second in the Brazilian top-flight table and on Tuesday have the chance to make up ground on leaders Corinthians as they visit struggling Sao Paulo.

Sao Paulo have struggled for results of late and are currently in the relegation zone. A 1-0 win last time out against Vasco Da Gama ended a ten-game run without a victory in the Brazilian top-flight.

The home side will be hoping that the victory lifts morale within the camp. However, they face a tough task on Tuesday against a Gremio side that has recorded wins in their last three outings in Serie A.

One positive for Dorival Junior’s side is their form on home soil, as they have lost just one of their last 11 games in Serie A. In fact, they have won eight of their last 11 league games at home, so they are no pushovers on home soil.

Sao Paulo will need to improve defensively if they are to get anything from this game, though, as they have conceded two or more goals in four of their last five games in Serie A. The fact that Gremio are top scorers in the league does not bode well for a clean sheet for the home side either.

Gremio’s form has been good of late after a slight blip of three consecutive league defeats in Serie A. Renato Gaucho’s team will be looking to add to those aforementioned three consecutive league wins to make up ground on Corinthians at the top of the table, as they are currently nine points behind the leaders.

Gremio’s form has been good of late and despite that recent win over Vasco, Sao Paulo have been underwhelming in recent games. Forebet predicts a fourth successive win for the visitors.
