High-flying Toronto head to Orlando on Thursday in the Eastern Conference of MLS, as the visitors look to cement their place in the top two of the standings.
Orlando have endured mixed fortunes so far this season. However, Jason Kreis’ team are still well placed in standings in the playoff spots, currently fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The home side’s recent form has been frustrating in MLS, as they have drawn three of their last five outings in the American top-flight. A 1-0 win at Real Salt Lake last time out ended a four-game run without a victory, though.
Kreis’ team have also been in decent form on their own patch in MLS, losing just one of their last 11 matches. However, once again their habit of drawing games has stopped a surge up the table, with three of their last five home games in MLS ending all square.
A win here would put the home side right back in the mix for a finish in the top two this season. However, the visitors will represent difficult opponents.
Toronto are enjoying a good campaign in MLS, so far, currently second in the Eastern Conference table. A victory would move the Canadian side to the top of the standings and cement their position in the league’s top two.
Greg Vanney’s side have lost just two of their last 12 MLS outings. However, both of those defeats have been in their last four MLS games, including a 3-1 loss at Dallas last time out.
In fact, the visitors have now failed to win any of their last three games on the road and have now suffered consecutive away defeats.
With Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore in their team, the visitors will always have a chance of winning games.
Forebet predicts that Vanney’s side will end their poor away run and come away from Florida with a victory.
