Flamengo to move up the table with win over Chapecoense

On Friday, Flamengo will be looking to improve their position in the Serie A when they host Chapecoense at the Maracana.
Flamengo are currently 13th in the Serie A table after a mixed start to their campaign in the Brazilian top-flight. Last time out Flamengo drew 2-2 with Fluminense in a Rio derby clash.
The problem that Flamengo have encountered for a while now is that they draw too many games. The team from Rio have drawn three of their last five games in the league. In fact, Ze Ricardo’s team have drawn six of their last nine games in the Brazilian top-flight.
On the flipside, they have suffered just two defeats in their last 26 Serie A outings. Their habit of drawing has held the team back, though. Flamengo have a very good home record in Serie A, as they are unbeaten in 16 league games at the Maracana.
Chapecoense have made a mixed start to their Serie A campaign and they are eighth in the table, two points clear of the home side.
The visitor’s recent form has been poor of late, though, as they have lost three of their last four games in Serie A, including suffering a 2-0 home defeat against Botafogo last time out.
Vagner Mancini’s sides form on their travels in Serie A has been inconsistent of late, as they have won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six league games. Chapecoense’s recent away games in the league have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last seven games on their travels.
Although inconsistent in recent games, the visitors have been prolific in front of goal, scoring at least two goals in five of their last six games in the Brazilian top-flight.
Forebet predicts that Flamengo will record a victory in this clash and leapfrog the visitors in the Serie A table.
