Gremio to continue stellar campaign at Cruzeiro

Gremio have made a bright start to their Serie A campaign and on Tuesday travel to Cruzeiro, as the visitors look to maintain their momentum in the Brazilian top-flight.
Cruzeiro have made a mixed start to their Serie A campaign and are currently 14th in the Brazilian top-flight table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
The home side have won three, drew one and lost three of their league games so far this season. Last time out, they suffered a 1-0 defeat at table-topping Corinthians. The defeat means that Mano Menezes side have now lost three of their last four league games.
The Belo Horizonte-based side also failed to score in all three of those recent defeats. A lack of goals has been a theme in Cruzeiro’s recent Serie A games, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last seven league games.
One positive for Cruzeiro is that they have suffered just one defeat in their last ten Serie A games on home soil.
Gremio offers a real threat to that good home record, though. The visitors have surged to second place in Serie A after winning six of their seven games in the Brazilian top-flight. A victory in this clash would move Renato Gaucho’s side to the top of the table, as they currently trail leaders Corinthians by just two points.
One player that has played a huge part in the good campaign so far has been forward Luan. The 24-year-old has scored four goals and produced four assists for the visitors this season. The highly rated star will be confident of adding to that tally in Belo Horizonte.
Gremio have won three of their four away games in the league and have in fact scored at least two goals in their last four games on their travels.
The visitors have looked like real contenders for the Brazilian title this season and Forebet predicts an away win in this clash.
