Atletico Madrid too good for Leicester

Leicester City have somehow found themselves in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, despite struggling in the Premier League for much of the campaign.
On Wednesday night, the Foxes travel to face Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon for the first leg of their last-eight tie.
The reigning English champions had won their last six games in all competitions under Craig Shakespeare until the weekend when they suffered a 4-2 defeat at Everton. However, the Foxes fielded a slightly weakened team on Merseyside, so were not at their best.
Leicester have recorded wins in five of their eight games in the Champions League. However, they have failed to win any of their last three away games in Europe’s elite competition, failing to score in two of those three games.
The Foxes lack of scoring power on their travels could prove to be a major problem in this clash, as Atletico have kept clean sheets in 17 of their last 21 home games in the Champions League. In fact, they have conceded just once in their last nine home games in Europe’s elite competition. Diego Simeone’s team have one of the most formidable defences in European football.
Largely due to their strong defensive record, Atleti’s home games in the Champions League have been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last eight games.
Atletico have won six of their last eight games in the Champions League and their recent form has been good with three wins from their last four games in all competitions. Last time out the men from Madrid drew 1-1 at arch-rivals Real Madrid in La Liga.
Atletico have made the last four of this competition in two of the last three seasons. Forebet predicts the Spanish side will enhance their chances of progressing this time around with a win at the Calderon.
