Citizens to stroll to win at out-of-form Cherries

Bournemouth’s form has dipped alarmingly in recent months and on Monday night the Cherries welcome Manchester City to the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe recently received a vote of confidence from the club's owners. However, the Cherries are currently 14th in the Premier League table and just six points above the relegation zone.

The stats look worrying for the Cherries, as they have failed to win any of their last five games in the top-flight and also won just one of their last eight league games. Howe’s side have also struggled at the Vitality Stadium in the top-flight of late, failing to win in their last four league outings.

With some of the teams below them starting to perform to a higher standard, the Cherries may very well be looking over their shoulder nervously in the next months if results do not improve.

A win against City is not unrealistic, though. City have blown hot and cold this season and currently find themselves fifth in the table. However, a win could see Pep Guardiola’s side shoot up to second in the table.

City have recorded consecutive victories in the Premier League and seem to have found a new hero in young Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus who has scored three times in his first three top-flight appearances for the Citizens.

The youngster scored a brace last time out in a 2-1 win over Swansea and the Brazilian international will be looking to add to his goal tally against the third worst defence in the top-flight. In fact, the Cherries have conceded two or more goals in their last five Premier League outings.

Eddie Howe’s team will be desperate for a victory in this clash to move themselves away from potential danger. However, Forebet predicts that the visitors will record a comfortable victory and leave the Cherries looking nervously over their shoulders for the foreseeable future.
