Lazio to beat AC Milan in the Olimpico

Fourth-place Lazio will look to gain ground on arch-rivals Roma on Monday night as the Biancocelesti host AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio are fourth in the table, but trail Roma by seven points in the race for the Champions League places. Simone Inzaghi’s team slipped up in the race for the top four spots with defeats against Juventus and Chievo, but last time out recorded a 6-2 win at Pescara.

The club from the Eternal City’s home form has not been great, as they have suffered two defeats from their last five outings at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A.

Lazio have not won any of their last three encounters with the visitors, so will need to stop the rot if they are to record a win.

AC Milan head to the Italian capital in seventh position in Serie A, but an away win would put the Rossoneri level on points with the home side.

Vincenzo Montella’s team ended a four-game run without a Serie A win last time out, as they recorded a 1-0 win at Bologna. In fact, the win brought to an end a three-game losing run in Serie A that saw the Rossoneri fall behind in the race for the Champions League spots.

Milan have won just one of their last four Serie A games on the road, which again was that win at Bologna. Their games away from home in Serie A have been high-scoring of late, with over 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight games on their travels.

A win could revive the visitor’s campaign and a win would see them leapfrog Atalanta and arch-rivals Internazionale in the table. This could be a tight clash and Forebet predicts that the home side will get the better of the Rossoneri to gain ground on Roma in the race for the Champions League spots.
