Swansea to suffer more woes at Liverpool

Swansea have struggled in the top-flight this season after a poor summer in the transfer market. Losing key players Ashley Williams and Andre Ayew could be cited as part of the teams struggles this season.

However, in truth, the Swans have been punching above their financial weight for a while in the English top-flight. The Welsh side are currently bottom of the table as their lack of investment has caught up with them.

Boss Paul Clement has been brought in to try and improve the situation. The former Derby boss has overseen just two games as Swans boss so far and lost both. Last time out they suffered a 4-0 hammering at home against Arsenal, as their defensive vulnerabilities were exposed.

The Swans created problems for themselves against the team from north London with own goals from Kyle Naughton and Jack Cork contributing to the heavy defeat. However, even without own goals, the Swans have been leaking goals at an alarming rate of late.

The fact that the Welsh side have conceded three or more goals in five of their last six outings in the top-flight illustrates the Swans defensive issues perfectly. That defensive record is even more concerning, as Clement’s side visit Anfield to face third-place Liverpool in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are not only the top home scorers this season in the top-flight, but the top scorers overall in the English top-flight. Swansea may be desperate for points, but so are Liverpool who are chasing the Premier League title this season.

The Merseysider’s are seven points behind table-toppers Chelsea, so the Reds cannot afford to slip-up in this seemingly straightforward clash.

Forebet predicts more misery on Merseyside for the Swans and Liverpool to record another comfortable victory over the beleaguered Welsh side on Saturday.
