Leicester playing West Ham at a bad time

Leicester playing West Ham at a bad time

Reigning champions Leicester are enduring a nightmare Premier League campaign at the moment. The Foxes suffered a poor 2-0 reverse at home against Everton last time out.

However, on Saturday they face West Ham at the King Power Stadium in a game they must win to avoid dropping down the Premier League table any further. West Ham have been poor for much of the campaign, but have now won their last three games in the top-flight.

The Hammers look like they are returning to the sort of form that saw them finish seventh in the Premier League table last season. Their away form has not been great of late, though, as the Hammers have won just twice in their last 12 games on their travels in all competitions.

One of those victories came in a 4-1 win at Swansea last time out, which will have lifted spirits at the London club.

Leicester City have also suffered just two defeats from their last 24 Premier League home games, although one of those defeats came in the champions last game against Everton.

The home side were missing defensive duo Christian Fuchs and Robert Huth against the Toffees, as well as striker Jamie Vardy all through suspension. Fuchs and Huth will return for this clash, but Vardy is still banned.

The Hammers are still without striker Diafra Sakho, so England striker Andy Carroll is expected to lead the line for the visitors. The former Liverpool striker scored against Swansea and will be confident of adding to his goal tally in this clash.

Forebet predicts a high-scoring game, with the champions coming out on top. However, Claudio Ranieri’s side must rediscover the confidence and character that made them champions last season to come out on top in this crucial clash.
