West Ham have experienced a troubled Premier League campaign so far this season. The Hammers season does not get any easier as they travel to face title challengers Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers are currently 17th in the Premier League table, only one point above the relegation zone.

It could be worse for the Hammers by the time they kick-off at Anfield on Sunday though, with the likes of Sunderland and Hull playing their games before them, as they could be in the relegation zone by the time they kick-off on Merseyside.

The Irons chances of a victory do not look great at the moment. The home side have not lost in their last 14 games at Anfield and have won their last five home games in all competitions.

While Liverpool’s recent home record is good, West Ham’s away record of late is poor, as the Irons have won just one of their last ten away games in all competitions. In fact, the Hammers have lost six of their last eight away games in the Premier League.

Slaven Bilic’s side’s form in the league has not been great of late, as they have won just two of their last 12 outings in the top-flight.

There are a few positives for the Hammers, though. One is the fact that the Reds will be without star playmaker Philippe Coutinho. Also Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has faced them on three occasions and has failed to win any of the clashes, losing twice and drawing once.

Another positive for the Hammers is the fact that the Reds have failed to win any of the last four meetings against West Ham in all competitions, failing to score in three of those games.

Liverpool failing to score and continuing their poor run of form against the Hammers in this clash looks highly unlikely. The Irons recording just their second ever win at Anfield in the Premier League seems very unlikely too.
