Tottenham can get back on track against Leicester

Tottenham will be looking for their first victory in five games on Saturday as they welcome reigning English champions Leicester City to White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team have gone four games without a win in all competitions. However, the club from north London remain the only team in the top-flight to be unbeaten this season. Despite consecutive draws in the Premier League, Spurs are still fifth in the table and just one point behind leaders Manchester City.

Pochettino’s side also has the meanest defence in the English top-flight. A lack of goals has hindered the north London side in recent weeks, though. They are currently missing star striker Harry Kane, who won the Golden Boot last season, without him, they lack a focal point to their attack.

The visit of the champions should be regarded as one of the toughest games of the campaign. However, reigning champions Leicester have made an inconsistent start to the defence of their top-flight crown.

The Foxes currently lie 12th in the table, having suffered defeat in all four of their away games in the Premier League this season. The Foxes have been poor defensively on their travels this season, as they have conceded three or more goals in their last three away games.

There have been encouraging signs of late for the Foxes though with back-to-back wins against Copenhagen and Crystal Palace in the Champions League and the Premier League respectively.

The wins will have lifted spirits at the Midlands club and they will head to north London knowing that Spurs are slightly low on confidence.

However, Spurs will be boosted by the Foxes terrible away record in the top-flight and believe the champions are a team they should be beating. For me, Spurs have a lot of quality and can get back on track with a win over the Foxes, even if the margin of victory is only a small one.
