Wales should not be written-off against Portugal

Wales have been written-off since the beginning of their campaign in France and have responded in perfect style by making it to the last-four of the competition. The European Championships most impressive result so far came in a 3-1 win over much-fancied Belgium in the quarter-finals.

The result just summed-up the Dragons campaign, as they produced a disciplined and passion display to see-off the team ranked second in the world.

There were some negatives from the win of over Belgium in the fact that defender Ben Davies and midfielder Aaron Ramsey received their second yellow cards of the tournament, so will miss the clash against Portugal.

Portugal have drawn all their games at Euro 2016 in normal time and have looked far from indomitable in France so far. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo seems to cast a shadow over his teammates and the Real Madrid star has not lived-up to his tag of star player for the Selecao in France.

The 31-year-old does enjoy being the hero on the big occassions though and may well step-up his game for this clash. He needs to improve, as it seems his teammates seem frightened to do anything with the Los Blancos star being involved.

The absence of Ramsey and Davies is a big blow to Wales chances of success in this last four tie, as both are quality Premier League performers. However, even without the pair the Dragons cannot be written-off, as they have proven throughout Euro 2016 that they are a very capable team.
