Leicester unlikely to win title at Manchester United

Leicester City have been the surprise package of the Premier League campaign and could record the most remarkable English title triumph in recent history.

To win the title this weekend however the Foxes will need to record a win at Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Red Devils may not been the force they once were in the English top-flight, but have hit form of late and have recorded six consecutive wins on home soil in the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal’s team are still in the fight for a place in the Champions League for next season, so will not be easy opponents for the in-form Foxes. They are unlikely a number of teams in the top-flight with very little to play for this season.

In truth Leicester’s chances of clinching the title do not necessary rest on their trip to Manchester, as a home game with Everton and a trip to Chelsea to come. Ranieri’s side only need three more points to win the title, but could need less if Tottenham slip-up in any of their remaining games.

This game may seem vitally important to the Foxes from the outside looking in, but United boss Louis van Gaal knows his future at the club is massively in doubt, so a top four finish is necessary if he is to have any hope of keeping his job.

Leicester have upset the odds for much of the campaign and have enjoyed an unbelievably good season. However, they may have to wait another week to win the Premier League title, as a win at Old Trafford is not a foregone conclusion.
