Get ready! We are about to see three gameweeks crammed into the space of ten days as the Premier League’s busy festive period takes place.

Gameweek 15 kicks off on Boxing Day, while Gameweek 17 ends on January 4. Needless to say, you will need to pay close attention to your FPL team over the next ten days.

Let’s start by checking out the fixtures for Gameweek 15.

  • Leicester vs. Manchester United
  • Fulham vs. Southampton
  • Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace
  • Arsenal vs. Chelsea
  • Manchester City vs. Newcastle
  • Sheffield United vs. Everton
  • Leeds vs. Burnley
  • West Ham vs. Brighton
  • Liverpool vs. West Brom
  • Wolves vs. Tottenham

Second-place Leicester and third-place Manchester United kick off the festivities, with the Foxes leading the Red Devils by just a single point.

Sheffield United are still searching for their first win of the season, with in-form Everton visiting Bramall Lane on Boxing Day.

Remember, the transfer deadline for Gameweek 15 is 11:00 (GMT) on Saturday, December 26.

Goalkeepers

Emi Martinez (Aston Villa) moved clear at the top of the clean sheet charts last weekend. The Argentine has achieved seven shutouts in 12 appearances this term and will be confident of keeping another clean sheet against low-scoring Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Burnley and Sheff Utd are the joint-lowest scorers in the division, so Illan Meslier (Leeds) and Jordan Pickford (Everton) could be in line for a shutout this weekend.

Defenders

Thiago Silva (Chelsea) scored and kept a clean sheet in the previous round, while Kurt Zouma (Chelsea) is currently the highest-scoring defender in FPL. With struggling Arsenal up next for the Blues, Chelsea’s defender look set to pick up more points.

Yerry Mina (Everton) scored his second goal of the season last time out and also achieved a shutout. He could easily add to his tally when the Toffees face bottom club Sheff Utd.

Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) appear to be back in business. The full-backs are likely to have a field day when off-form West Brom visit Anfield on Sunday.

Midfielders

Scott McTominay (Manchester United) bagged a brace and an assist in the previous round, while Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) also shone in Man Utd’s 6-2 thrashing of Leeds.

Anwar El Ghazi (Aston Villa) has scored three goals in his previous three appearances, including a double against West Brom last weekend. Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) also has five goals and seven assists this term.

Raphina (Leeds) and Solly March (Brighton) both picked up decent points in the previous round. Both of those players are solid budget options, with Leeds facing Burnley and Brighton up against West Ham.

Forwards

Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) appears to have found some form. The Brazilian has five goals and three assists to his name in 2020/21, with two goals and one assist coming in the Reds’ 7-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace last weekend.

Chris Wood (Burnley) and Ashley Barnes (Burnley) both got on the scoresheet last time out. Leeds – who have the worst defensive record in the division – are up next for Burnley.

18-year-old Fabio Silva (Wolves) bagged his first Premier League goal in the previous round. The youngster is likely to continue to deputise for the injured Raul Jimenez.
