Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 25
5040

Following the first double Gameweek of the season, many Fantasy managers will have loaded their teams with Liverpool and West Ham players. So, who stays and who goes this week?

Here are a few players to consider for your team based on current form, upcoming fixtures and price. Let’s get stuck into the top picks for Round 25.

Goalkeeper

Dean Henderson – Sheffield United

Henderson has been immense for the Blades this season, helping his side to boast one of the best defensive records in the division. Next up for Sheff Utd is a trip to Selhurst Park. Considering that Crystal Palace have only scored 10 goals at home all season (the worst home record in the top flight), Henderson could be set for yet another clean sheet.

Defenders

Jamaal Lascelles – Newcastle United

The 26-year-old has returned from injury and has come straight back into Steve Bruce’s side. The Newcastle captain has been sorely missed over the past couple of months, but he’s instantly made the Magpies stronger at the back. Bottom side Norwich travel to St. James’ Park on Saturday, so Lascelles will be confident of a shutout.

Aymeric Laporte – Manchester City

Another player that has been missed by their team is Aymeric Laporte. The Frenchman played a huge role for Man City last season but has been sidelined for the majority of this term through injury. However, Laporte returned in the previous round, while City kept a clean sheet. He is expected to feature again this weekend against a Tottenham team struggling to score.

Midfielders

Nathaniel Chalobah - Watford

Chalobah is an excellent value pick. The midfielder has played in every game since Nigel Pearson took over at Vicarage Road and has put in some eye-catching performances as Watford continue to pick up impressive results. He also seems to be taking corners and free-kicks, meaning he is likely to claim points through assists.

Jordan Henderson – Liverpool

Liverpool are now 19 points clear at the top of the table and Jordan Henderson has been one of the Reds’ standout performers this season. He is certainly a cheap pick compared to many of his midfield teammates, but he has been in red-hot form of late. With Henderson playing the way he is at the moment, it would be extremely difficult for Klopp to drop him.

Forwards

Callum Wilson – Bournemouth

Wilson proved last season that he scores in bunches, so could his goal last week be the start of a promising run for the Cherries striker? Wilson scored his first goal since September as Bournemouth beat Brighton last time out, and with Aston Villa up next (the second worst defensive record in the division) he could well add to his tally this weekend.

Troy Deeney – Watford

Deeney has scored four goals in his last five appearances and he could’ve had more if he didn’t miss a penalty against Spurs. The Hornets’ target man has been on fire since the arrival of new boss Pearson and will fancy his chances against a shaky Everton defence on Saturday. An excellent value pick.
