Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 24

Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 24
4102

The first double gameweek of the season is here! Liverpool and West Ham both play twice in Round 24, so make sure you take this into account when selecting your team this week.

Round 23 has only just finished, but Round 24 kicks off on Tuesday night. With six games on Tuesday, three on Wednesday and Wolves vs. Liverpool on Thursday, make your selections quickly to avoid missing the deadline.

Here are this week’s top picks.

Goalkeeper

Alisson – Liverpool

Liverpool’s number one is playing a huge role in the Reds’ title push this season. So much so that he even assisted Mohamed Salah’s goal against Manchester United. The Brazilian has established himself as the Premier League’s top goalkeeper and he has the opportunity to keep another two clean sheets in Round 24.

Defenders

Tyrone Mings – Aston Villa

Aston Villa’s defensive game has undoubtedly improved since Tyrone Mings returned from injury. Despite the club’s troubles, the England centre-back has been one of Villa’s standout performers this year. Watford travel to Villa Park on Tuesday, and no Premier League side has scored fewer goals than the Hornets.

Virgil van Dijk – Liverpool

Arguably the best centre-back in the world right now, Virgil van Dijk is known for his aerial abilities in both boxes. Following his goal against Man Utd, no other centre-back has scored more Premier League goals (8) than van Dijk since he joined Liverpool in January 2018. The Reds’ double gameweek is likely to prove extremely profitable for the Dutchman.

Midfielders

Pablo Fornals – West Ham United

Let’s not forget that West Ham also have two games to play in Round 24. Pablo Fornals has featured in all but one of the Hammers’ league games this season and has registered four goals involvements (3 assists, 1 goal) in his previous nine appearances. West Ham have improved under David Moyes, so Fornals could add to his tally this week.

Leandro Trossard – Brighton & Hove Albion

The Belgian has become one of the first names on Graham Potter’s team sheet in recent months. Since returning from injury earlier in the season, Trossard has notched up two goals and four assists in 14 games. Brighton travel to struggling Bournemouth on Tuesday, so Trossard is expected to enjoy another successful outing.

Forwards

Raul Jimenez – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Raul Jimenez’s double against Southampton last time out took his league tally to 10 for the season. However, Jimenez’s 28 direct goal involvements in all competitions this term (19 goals, 9 assists) are more than any other player for a Premier League club in 2019/20. You’d be foolish to leave him out of your team at the moment.

Gabriel Martinelli – Arsenal

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sidelined through suspension, Martinelli came into the Gunners’ starting eleven in the previous round and made an instant impact by scoring against Sheffield United. Aubameyang is set to miss another two games, so the young Brazilian forward is likely to get more game time in the coming weeks.
