Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 5 – Best Players, Fixtures and More

During the international break, FPL managers have had time to assess player performances in their national teams, considering injuries or fatigue, and potentially making strategic transfers to strengthen their squads.

Let’s have a brief look at some hot topics and players that are must for this Gameweek 5!

Goalkeepers

In long term, Alisson (Liverpool) looks as a good option but we might consider Van Dijk’s extended match ban to cause some problems for the defensive line of Klopp’s men.

Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham) is the highest-scoring goalkeeper up to now and the fixture against Sheffield United looks tentant.

The budget friendly assets like Alphonse Areola (West Ham),  Bernd Leno (Fulham) and Matt Turner (Nottingham Forest) offer good rotation for the short period of time!

Defenders

Chelsea’s defence look shaky but maybe they deserve a second chance against Bournemouth, especially Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) and Malo Gusto (Chelsea), whose attacking treat remains high as full-wing backs.

Tren Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) managed to find form and the problems in Wolves camp can benefit him.

Destiny Udogie (Tottenham) and Christian Romero (Tottenham) are the two to own from rejuvenated Spurs defence.

William Saliba look like the most nailed defender as Arteta is making some drastic changes at the back, searching for success.

Midfielders

The hot topic this week is about Son and his hat-trick against Burnley! It looks inevitable not to own a Spurs attacker as the other solid option is James Maddison who is on set-pieces.

Bryan Mbuemo (Brentford) proves his value as the highest-scoring midfielder in FPL.

Lots of frustration as Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) blanked the previous gameweek but the Blues fixtures remain nice to have him in your team.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) is one of the contenders for the armband as he is still one of the best assets in the game.

You can not overlook friendly budget midfielders like Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa) and Andreas Pereira (Fulham).

Forwards

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) is expected to be included in the selection of all the following gameweeks as he proves to be the best captaincy and attacking option for another year.

A lot has been said about Carlton Morris (Luton Town) after the double gameweek has been announced and you might consider getting him before any price rise occurs.

The meeting with Burnley looks perfect for Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forrest) to continue his tremendous form in FPL.

Darwin Núñez (Liverpool) is still missing big chances but sooner rather than later will justify Klopp’s trust.

With these players in mind, you can strategically craft your FPL squad for the upcoming round. Consider their recent form, roles within their teams, and fixture conditions to optimize your selections.

The DEADLINE is Saturday at 11:00 UK Time, so be ready!
