Fantasy Premier League – Picks, Best Players and More for FPL Double Gameweek 38
1328

The final round of the 2022-23 Premier League season takes place this weekend. On Sunday, all 10 matches will kick off at 16:30 (BST) as the campaign draws to a close.

It’s been another campaign packed with thrills and spills in Fantasy Premier League. With Gameweek 38 finally here, let’s go over the best FPL players for the final round of fixtures.

Fixtures

  • Aston Villa vs. Brighton
  • Everton vs. Bournemouth
  • Leeds vs. Tottenham
  • Brentford vs. Man City
  • Man Utd vs. Fulham
  • Chelsea vs. Newcastle
  • Leicester City vs. West Ham
  • Arsenal vs. Wolves
  • Southampton vs. Liverpool
  • Crystal Palace vs. Nottm Forest

Two of Leeds, Leicester and Everton will join already-relegated Southampton in the Championship next season. All three sides have home fixtures on Sunday, and they will all be fighting for their lives.

Man Utd and Arsenal also have favourable home fixtures against Fulham and Wolves, respectively. On the flip side, Man City and Liverpool will be expected to win on their travels.

Goalkeepers

Everton, Arsenal and Liverpool have the best clean sheet odds for Gameweek 38, making Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal) and Alisson (Liverpool) the top goalkeeper picks.

Given that Nottm Forest have scored a measly 10 goals in 18 away games this season – picking up a solitary victory in the process – Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace) is also worth considering.

Defenders

With 198 points to his name, Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) is the highest-scoring defender in the game. To put Trippier’s season into perspective, Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), the number-two defender, has 152 points.

Ben White (Arsenal) and Gabriel (Arsenal) look set to enjoy a positive end to the season, while Yerry Mina (Everton), Victor Lindelof (Man Utd) and Joel Ward (Crystal Palace) could prove to be great differentials.

Midfielders

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) heads into Gameweek 38 with more points – 234 – than any other midfielder, with Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) and Marcus Rashford (Man Utd) completing the top three.

If you’re looking for a final-day midfielder punt, James Maddison (Leicester), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Ilkay Gundogan (Man City), Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) and Dwight McNeil (Everton) are all worth considering.

Forwards

Boasting a whopping 272 points, Erling Haaland (Man City) has dominated FPL this season, although his team-mate, Julian Alvarez (Man City), could also pick up plenty of points on the final weekend.

Other forwards to consider include Harry Kane (Tottenham), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Callum Wilson (Newcastle), Alexander Isak (Newcastle) and Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal).
