Fantasy Premier League – Picks, Best Players and More for FPL Gameweek 33
1516

Blank Gameweek 32 may have only finished on Sunday, but Gameweek 33 is already on the horizon. The Fantasy Premier League action resumes on Tuesday, April 25, with the deadline set for 18:00 (BST).

Although GW33 is a regular Gameweek, it is worth noting that six teams – Brighton, Fulham, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and West Ham – play twice in Double Gameweek 34.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the upcoming fixtures before going over the best players for FPL GW33.

Fixtures

  • Wolves vs. Crystal Palace
  • Aston Villa vs. Fulham
  • Leeds vs. Leicester
  • Nottm Forest vs. Brighton
  • Chelsea vs. Brentford
  • West Ham vs. Liverpool
  • Man City vs. Arsenal
  • Southampton vs. Bournemouth
  • Everton vs. Newcastle
  • Tottenham vs. Man Utd

The potential title decider between Man City and Arsenal is undoubtedly the standout fixture here. At the opposite end of the table, Wolves vs. Crystal Palace and Leeds vs. Leicester are both vitally important.

Man Utd’s trip to Tottenham also promises to be an eventful clash, as does Southampton vs. Bournemouth. Aston Villa and Chelsea are expected to win at home, while Brighton, Liverpool and Newcastle are favoured to win on their travels.

Here are the best FPL players for Gameweek 33.

Goalkeepers

Brighton face low-scoring Nottm Forest on Wednesday before playing twice in DGW34. For that reason, Jason Steele (Brighton) is a great pick, although Robert Sanchez (Brighton) could reclaim his place between the sticks.

Nick Pope (Newcastle) will fancy his chances of keeping a clean sheet against struggling Everton, while Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Man City) and David De Gea (Man Utd) look like excellent options ahead of DGW34.

Defenders

There were clean sheets for Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham last time out. If you’re looking for defensive options from those teams, Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace), Vitalli Mykolenko (Everton) and Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) are arguably the best picks.

With DGW34 just around the corner, Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Pervis Estupinan (Brighton), John Stones (Man City), Ruben Dias (Man City), Luke Shaw (Man Utd) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) are great long-term options.

Midfielders

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) and Jacob Murphy (Newcastle) both picked up 13 points in the previous round, while Joelinton (Newcastle) and Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottm Forest) claimed 12 points.

Brighton midfielders such as Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and Solly March (Brighton) will be popular picks, as will high-profile stars like Marcus Rashford (Man Utd), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Jack Grealish (Man City).

Forwards

Having bagged four goals and one assist across the past two games, Diogo Jota (Liverpool) is back in contention as an FPL option. Alexander Isak (Newcastle) is another top forward pick, having netted seven goals in as many games.

Naturally, the usual suspects such as Erling Haaland (Man City), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Ivan Toney (Brentford) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) will be hugely popular picks this week.
